The Utah Coal Country Strike Team signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on December 3rd, 2019 between; the Southeastern Utah Association of Local Government (SEUALG), the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, Utah State University Eastern, Price City, and Castle Dale City. This is a unique strategic collaborative effort, between these 5 entities, with the goal to achieve a 10 percent increase in net income for 10,000 households in Utah. The Utah Coal Country Strike Team will pursue four interventions that will help diversify Utah’s coal economy.
